Jolie is noted for promoting humanitarian causes as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Divorced from actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, as of 2012 Jolie lived with actor Brad Pitt, in a relationship notable for fervent media attention.
